MONTHLY REVIEW – AUGUST’17

EN | And again another month just gone by. It literally fells like I’m moaning about how fast the time is running every single month. Haha, so sorry about that! But please tell me that I’m not the only one complaining about that. At the moment I’m working a lot again and it’s also quite stressful at work (yep, still doing an internship). So that’s actually also the reason why this monthly review is a bit late. However I really like to share these kind of posts with you, don’t get me wrong sharing my outfits is still my favorite thing but it’s nice to get a bit more personal and tell you a bit more about the person behind this blog. And it’s also an amazing way to get to know you a bit more! So don’t forget to let me know what you’ve been up to in August!

DE | Und schon wieder ist ein Monat vorbei. Gefühlt ‚beschwere‘ ich mich jeden Monat darüber wie schnell die Zeit im Moment rennt! Aber habt ihr auch das Gefühl, dass das Jahr doch gerade erst begonnen hat? Im Moment hat mich auch wieder einmal der Arbeitsalltag eingeholt und ich komme total k.o. nach Hause, daher kommt meine kleine Monatsreview auch ein bisschen später als sonst online. Dennoch macht es mir enorm viel Spaß diese Art von Posts mit euch zu teilen, versteht mich nicht falsch, meine Outfits mit euch zu teilen macht mir immer noch am aller meisten Spaß, aber es ist auch wirklich ganz nett ein bisschen ‚persönlichere‘ Dinge mich euch zu teilen! So kann ich euch auch immer ein bisschen mehr über die Person hinter diesem Blog erzählen. Und es ist auch ein toller Weg für mich, um ein bisschen mehr über euch zu erfahren! Also vergesst nicht mir zu erzählen, was bei euch so alles im August los war! 

Where at?

EN | Even if you life in a city quite bit, there are still some places left where you never been to. The Newman’s Bar  at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Wolfsburg was one of these places for me. Thanks to the amazing blogger event in July, which was organized by the Designer Outlet Wolfsburg, I remembered that I wanted to try out the Bar at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. Last month I finally had the time to go to the bar with one of my besties. As accepted the prizes there where definitely more expensive than in normal bars, but the interior and also the cocktails there were amazing. So I can say that it’s a nice place to go for an cocktail if you want to go to a more elegant bar.
I’ve also been to Hannover for a day to shoot some outfit pictures together with another blogger. We went to a really cute cafe called „Kreipes Coffee Time“ for a little coffee break, so I can highly recommend you to check it out if you’re around the corner. I’ve already shown you the first result from our little shoot here. The second outfit will probably be online some day next week. Before that I want to show you a look we shoot in Bonn at the end of August.

DE | Kennt ihr das, wenn man schon ewig in einer Stadt wohnt und es immer noch so einiges gibt, wo man noch nie war? Die Newman’s Bar im Ritz Carlton Hotel hat für mich bis letzen Monat dazu gehört. Dank dem Blogger Event im Juli, welches vom Designer Outlet Wolfsburg organisiert wurde, habe ich das Ritz Carlton wieder ein bisschen mehr auf dem Schirm. Neben einem süßen Cafe, dass ich dort schon ausprobiert habe, stand die Newman’s Bar eigentlich schon lange auf meiner To-Do Liste. Im August habe ich es dann endlich geschafft abends dorthin zu fahren. Die Preise sind definitiv teurer als in anderen Bars, dafür hat die Location designtechnisch einiges zu bieten und die Cocktails waren übrigens auch sehr lecker.
Darüberhinaus war ich letzten Monat noch für einen Tag in Hannover. Dort habe ich mit einer lieben Bloggerkollegin Fotos für zwei Outfitposts gemacht. Eins der Outfits habe ich euch bereits hier gezeigt. Das Café „Kreipes Coffee Time“ in dem wir eine kurze Pause gemacht haben, kann ich euch übrigens wirklich sehr empfehlen! Das zweite Outfit, dass wir an dem Tag fotografiert haben, wird vermutlich irgendwann nächste Woche online gehen. Vorher möchte ich euch aber unbedingt noch einen Look zeigen, denn wir Ende des Monats in Bonn fotografiert haben.  

Bonn

EN | At the end of August I’ve visited some of my blogger friends in Bonn. Normally we just see each other at the Fashion Week or at other blogger events, so it was really nice to catch up with everybody. Besides catching up we literally ate the whole time. Those of you who follow me on Instagram and watched my story that weekend can definitely confirm that. After I arrived we went directly (okay first be took my luggage to the flat, but after that we went) to a egg waffle shop called ‚Sunnysu‘. Egg Waffles are the big food trend at the moment, but I have to say that I couldn’t taste a big difference to normal waffles. However it still was super delicious. On Saturday Sara showed us around Bonn, we eat a lot again and took some pictures. On Sunday we started the day with a big breakfast before I had do drive home again.

DE | In Bonn habe ich meine Blogger-Freundinnen besucht. Normalerweise sehe ich die Mädels immer nur zu Events oder zur Fashion Week. Daher war es wirklich schonmal sich mal wieder zu sehen, dementsprechend gab es natürlich auch eine Menge zu erzählen. Neben den vielen Gesprächen haben wir das ganze Wochenende nur gegessen, wer mir auf Instagram folgt und an dem Wochenende meine Story gesehen hat, kann das sicherlich bestätigen. Am Freitag haben wir nur kurz meinem Koffern in die Wohnung gebracht und sind dann direkt zu ‚Sunnysu‘ Egg Waffeln essen gegangen. Die Waffeln sind im Moment total im Trend, ich muss aber gestehen, dass ich keinen besonders großen Unterschied zu normalen Waffeln bemerkt habe. Trotzdem waren die Waffeln wirklich sehr lecker! Samstag hat uns Sara, bei der wir alle das Wochenende gewohnt haben, noch ein wenig mehr von Bonn gezeigt. Außerdem haben wir natürlich wieder eine Menge gegessen und Fotos gemacht. Am Sonntag morgen waren wir dann noch lecker frühstücken, bevor es für mich wieder zurück nach Hause ging. 

New In

EN | A lot! It probably doesn’t seem to be so much, but as I’m still a student (yes I’m doing an internship right now but I can hardly pay my rent and all that adult stuff from my money) I’m normally buying less. At Zara in Bonn I found the perfect pair of black (comfy) trousers with a white stripe on each site. I was looking for a similar pair of trousers for so long now and finally found one that has a great fit and is comfortable as well. I’ve also found some loafers at the sale section for 9.90€, it actually felt a bit like winning the jackpot as I found these babies in my size. Normally everything in the sale section is not available in my size if it looks good. I’ve also bought a new dress and some earrings from Mango, which I’ve already shown you in this outfit post!

DE | Im August ist irgendwie eine Menge in meinen Kleiderschrank eingezogen! Für einige von euch mag es vielleicht gar nich so viel sein, aber ich kaufe normalerweise weniger. Die Studenten unter euch können sicherlich verstehen wieso. Bei Zara in Bonn habe ich mir eine schwarze Hose mit weißem Streifen an der Seite und Loafers gekauft. Die Loafers habe ich für unschlagbare 9,90€ im Sale ergattert. Außerdem habe ich mir Anfang des Monats noch ein Kleid und Ohrringe von Mango bestellt gehabt. Die beiden Teile habe ich euch schon in diesem Outfitpost gezeigt.
