The glen check trend and 3 new year’s resolutions

Happy 2018! It was really quite here on the blog for the past month. Which had manly something to do with university, especially all the exams and also holiday season. However I’m back and I’m going to stay! As this is my first post this year I’m not only going to share a new outfit with you but also three of my new years resolutions.
I love to make lists and to set myself some goals. So I actually always sit down at the beginning of a new year and think about everything that happened the last year. I think about everything I achieved, everything I moved on from and so one. And at the end of all the thinking, I think about the present/future. What does I want to do more? What does I want to achieve this year? And the most important question: Am I happy with how everything is? (Actually I asked myself the last question more than ones a year, because I’m a strong believer that you are the only person who can achieve your own happiness. If your not happy with the situation you’re in right now, CHANGE IT! Ralph Marston said ones: Happiness is a choice – not a result. Nothing will make you happy until you choose to be happy. No person will make you happy unless you decide to be happy. Your happiness will not come to you. It can only come from you. And I totally agree with it.

Write more letters because who is going to read old What’s app chats in the future?!

I have a little (okay maybe quite a big) box in my bedroom with all the letters, postcards and little notes I received over the years. I really like to receive letters and to reread them after some time. All the memories you have on a little piece of paper. So one of my new year’s resolutions is to write more letters. I actually already wrote one (this makes one more than last year, so I already made some progress here). I also think it’s so cute to write some postcards while you’re away on holiday. So I really want to to do this this year as well.

Travel More often

So the next one is a obvious one. I mean I have a (fashion and) travel blog, so it couldn’t be a surprise that I love traveling and exploring new cities and countries. This is actually a point that is one my new years resolution list every year. There are still so many places I haven’t seen. Last year I’ve been to Milan, Cannes, Saint Tropez, Biel, Nice and Strasbourg for the first time. I’ve also traveled to Paris and visited Berlin quite a few times. For this year Dubai and Irland are actually on top of my travel bucket list. What’s on your travel bucket list?

I love reading. A little fun fact here, I started reading books in english because I was quite bad in english at school. And since then I prefer to read books in english and not in german. So if you have any recommendations for me, please let me know! Also what was your favorite book you ever read?

The glen check trend

Last year the glen check trend became extremely popular. Every street style star, every blogger and I guess literally everybody started to wear glen check again. Guess who else fell for this trend?! Right it’s me. Especially the glen check blazer started to become the number one thing on my shopping list. I already have this blazer for two month now and this is the first opportunity to show you an outfit with it here on the blog. I combined the blazer with a simple black jeans, and stripy sweater and some edgy boots. So how do you like this outfit and what do you think about the glen check trend in general?
